The study of the productive chain of agricultural software encompassing the formal and informal relations among their several components becomes fundamental for the identification and qualification of the factors interfering in its production efficiency and efficacy and in the levels of adoption of this tool in the agri-business. The competitiveness in a productive chain, specially those belonging to the agri-business, by the complexity caused by the great number of agents integrating them, is strongly influenced by the coordination capacity of the integrated actions of each segment involved. The introduction of information technology into the agri-business may contribute in a meaningful way to structurally organize the information permeating the functioning process of its productive chains. On the other hand, it is scarce the information about the behaviour of the productive chain of agricultural information technology, specially in relation to the software directed to the agri-business. This way, it is intended with this study to characterize the agricultural software chain and, to analyse its performance under the point of view of efficiency, pointing out possibilities for improvement aiming at an increase of its competitiveness in the scenario where its is inserted, also contributing for the enlargement of the adoption level by the agri-business agents. It was applied the Delphi technique and extrapolative methods for performing the research. |
